Conference

Students from across the Prairies were invited to the University of Alberta in Edmonton from January 22-24 for this year's Annual Sustainable Campuses Conference.

Held in partnership with ECOS and goBEYOND, students learnt from inspiring workshops and speakers.

Keynote speakers included Elizabeth May, MP and NDP Environment Critic Linda Duncan and the author of 'The Economics of Happiness', Mark Anielski.

Each year, Sustainable Campuses Prairies holds a regional conference giving students an opportunity for networking, peer-to-peer skills sharing, and strategizing about regional projects and issues. By working together and sharing our ideas and projects, we are helping to build a Prairies-wide network of focused environmental student-activists. The host for the conference is selected every winter semester through applications evaluated by the Prairies Regional Coordinator, the National Sustainable Campuses Coordinator and members of the Regional Action Committee.
