The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières will be the host of the 8th Quebec Sustainable Campuses Conference happening winter 2011. Bacc vert, the environmental student association of UQTR will be the one who will organized the event. You can contact them at baccvert@hotmail.com.

What is the Quebec Sustainable Campuses Conference? The Quebec Sustainable Campuses Conference offers students involved in improving their campus' sustainability the opportunity to network with others, share experiences and build capacity through workshops.

2004 marked the first SYC conference in Quebec and resulted in work towards implementing a Papercut campaign on campuses. After the second conference, specifically focussed on climate change, student groups decided to adopt the Sustainable Campuses project as the main subject for the following conferences.

HumaniTERRE and ABC, collaborating with SYC and Oxfam-Québec, hosted the 7th Quebec Sustainable Campuses Conference on February 4 -7, 2010, at HEC Montréal. Speakers delivered content and experience related to the theme: : "Between confrontation and conciliation, where does reality lie?". Visit the Conference's website.
